Chameleon Harold
Over the last few months, I've been planning out my first full-length game. It's an RPG about a magical girl chameleon who is tasked to travel through worlds themed to the different sections of a color wheel, dealing with natural occurrences in each world and reflecting on her life and purpose along the way. It's a pretty big deal, and there's still a lot to plan out yet.
This is a proof of concept demo for the battle system, which involves changing your color to cover that of your enemy's. Additionally, changing your color to match your environment will give you an evasion boost. Defeat enough slimes to get to level 2 and you'll unlock new moves and be able to challenge a boss! Be sure to talk to the NPC at the top of the map to learn the mechanics of this demo in detail.
If you're interested in either contributing to this game or sitting back and watching it unfold, I would be more than happy to invite you to the project's Discord server. Just leave me a comment and I'll find a way to reach out to you. I'm a bit hesitant on making it public just yet, but once it starts to develop I may reconsider.

This is a very nice concept. I've looked at the design document and it is interesting as well.
Glad you enjoy it! The six colors and the color changing mechanic are the core foundation of the game, but I intend the battle system to be way deeper in the actual game. For what it's worth, changing your color to match the world now decreases aggro instead of boosting evasiveness.
Came across this demo by chance, definitely an interesting concept with an elemental system based on colours. Look forward to seeing how you will further flesh out and refine this system!
Glad to see you like it! Recently I've been focusing more on fleshing out the story and the main characters, but we did come up with some fun ways to take advantage of the color system.
I absolutely adore this concept! I really hope you decide to make it. Reptiles and Magical Girls are two of my favorite things. <
Thanks! I'm honestly a little speechless someone already found this and the main character is literally their two favorite things. I don't know which one of us is gonna be more excited one I finally get her design ready!
